the book itself is written by Lesley Ito and illustrated  by Alice caroll. Being focused on beginner to intermediate level it has 2500 words in length with 100-110 words each page. Really good way of splitting the passage if I say myself because it is quick and easy to read and the attractive, full-colored illustration in each page will make you keep attached to the book. The word choice is really good and easy to understand, no complex word are given and all of the passage could be perceived by general reader without knowledge of music whatsoever. Furthermore they also list some of the keywords in the beginning of the book, may reader find some word confusing, they could always return to the first page to check what the words does mean.

Personally what makes this series interesting is the fact that the reader is given several choice of in the very end of each page. The choice will affect how you read the storyline. For example if you choose first choice you are asked to jump into a page 5 but if you choose second choice you are asked to jump to page 10. Doing this makes the multiple possibilities of the story and will give a more dimension of freedom  to the reader to determine what kind of event they expect to encounter next. Each of this storyline is coming from one general point and then branch out later. This branch could be having further branch before finally reaching the end which if we read it on it's own, it created an independent "route" with each different ending. The fact that it have multiple route will encourage the reader to re-read the whole book again from the start to pick another choice at some point to reach different ending.

Plot wise, the story was presented in interesting way, you and your friends are going to the concert of your favourite band, the most famous in the world. Then the series of events happened and it is up to you to pick the choice that will determine your destiny in the end, eight possible destiny, if you may. The choice of the writer to use first person view created an immersive situation where you are positioned as the main character. It tries to make you involved in the story and make you part of it.  Some of the settings is quite cliche and may not represent the actual situation of the industry but then again as this book is focused towards learner, there is no need to go that deep into the detail. Some of the route have a really big gap where if you choose a different option which is logically could end up in the same situation, it just diverse vastly in the end and really have contrast ending.

Overall this book is a really good book for a English learner, the writing style, the colorful illustration, the way it takes you to the story is really captivating and will even stimulate the hunger of reading in the people that is rarely having a touch with a book. The choice of the simple wording and the story flow is easy to understand. Good read!

Score: 8.8/10
